1. Itai ao
the slide projector changed its picture
and i, the weakling, was left behind
blue ink splattered aiming for my chest
so painfully beautiful
and that's why i cried
on the swing in the park at night, i heard
somebody cackling
was it perhaps laughter, from the flower bed by my side?
or did it rather cry?
no, it was your voice
you stand under the streetlight and look so terribly sad
as if about to vanish into thin air
no, stop it
please, don't go
each time the shadows flicker in front of my eyes
the colour of sorrow overflows
blue blue, as it spreads out
inside my lungs
and obscures me,
each time the shadows flicker in front of my eyes
the colour of sorrow overflows
blue blue, as it spreads out
painful blue, inside my lungs
and obscures me--------.

(Painful Blue)
Plastic Tree
As the scene on this slide changed
I was left behind, the weakling
Blue ink splattered all around my heart
So beautiful it pained me
And so I cried
On the swing in the park at night, I heard somebody's
Cackling laugh
Could it possibly have been from the flower bed by my side?
Perhaps its cry? no, it's your voice
Crying under the street lamp, you seem terribly sad
As if you could disappear at any moment
That would be horrible so don't go please
Each time the shadows flicker in front of my eyes
The colour of sadness overflows
A bluish blue spreading all over my lungs
And when it starts to settle,
Each time the shadows flicker in front of my eyes
The colour of sadness overflows
A bluish blue spreading all over my lungs
A painful blue spreading out, and when it starts settling....
2. Ether note
It's only me who's upside down
Choosing words and then speaking
This suddenly childish sensation
Melts in the sweetness of milk
Into a bottle drunk dry
I drop a single secret
Add sugar and alcohol and lemon
So until my "slightly autistic" self
One day ceases to need it
I've hidden it away on a shelf in the basement
With eyes still bandaged
In an aeroplane, the angel of disease
Commences her fell swoop
Drawing near to the scene she is interrupted and disappears
I draw a generous curve
Which becomes a frame of film
Standing there motionless, waiting, I
Peered into the lens of the camera
Tired of watching I close it and on the inside of my eyelids
Races a pulse
At a speed verging on ridiculous, I'm taken along
I lie down in a patch of sunlight which will dim.
Many a wishful thought
I scribble down in my book
A poet of lies shall my sad self yet be
This light which I'm unable to feel is reflected and breaks,
Spilling down; it's a fate which shall evermore befall me
The plastic beads of light scatter
And that glass bottle,
To the basement
In retrieval I shall go
I'm the only one who's upside down
choosing words and then speaking
a sudden childish sensation
of melting away in the sweetness of milk
into a bottle drunk dry
I drop a single secret
add sugar and alcohol and lemon
and until the day comes
when my "slightly autistic self" no longer needs it
I've hidden it away on a shelf in the basement
a diseased angel, with eye bandages
sits on an airplane
it flies lower and lower
draws near the ground
stops
and is gone
I draw a smooth curve
it becomes a frame on the film
I peer into the lens of the camera,
standing motionless and waiting
then, growing tired of looking, I close it
and on the inside of my eyelids
races a pulse
taken along, with a speed almost bizarre
I lie down in a blurring spot of sunlight
in my notebook I scribble down
wishful words
my sad self - a lying poet
the untouchable light
is reflected, breaks and
scatters, forever it'll fall down on me
the plastic beams of light become a mess on the ground
and I'll go
to the basement
to retrieve my glass bottle
3. Wareta mado
Yesterday I had a dream
And although it should not have been,
True to life there you were
Under the dim light of a narrow corridor
Dancing with a kitten
It was as if you were crying
As if you were laughing
Such a strange expression
That I pretended not to notice
Until I awoke
I open the broken glass window, I have to find an answer at once
Unable to, my throat dries up
Again
And I spill over
Deeply, deeply
In deep watercolor, trembling
Is all my consciousness is
It's as if, as if
As if I'm sinking down
Melting away
The color of the dream
Shifts
And intensifies
I open the broken glass window, I must find an answer at once
Unable to, my throat dries up
Again
And I spill over
Deeply, deeply
In deep watercolor, trembling
Is all my consciousness is
It's as if, as if
As if I'm sinking down
Melting away
Melting, melting, melting
So that I no longer know a thing
And that's all my consciousness is
Forever more, ever more, ever more
Knowing nothing
Ever more, ever more, ever more
Like this
4. CLOSET CHILD
Plastic Tree
A light from within a chest of drawers
Illuminates the girls with no hair
Pointing at me with a black leather organizer
For some reason I want to run away
I'm afraid
You take my precious
Hat and laughing, put it on
And that seems horribly sad
The scenes flowing past me are always clouded
If perpetually, it's the sound of that bell from deep within my ears
It is forever resounding it forever resounds
The dust-covered slide projector splutters a noise
And that same scene which everybody loves
Repeats
If perpetually, it's the sound of that bell from deep within my ears
It is forever resounding it forever
Resounds at me
I go crazy
The dust-covered slide projector splutters a noise
And that same scene which everybody loves
Will repeat
The dust-covered slide projector splutters a noise
Ah~
That same scene which everybody loves
Will repeat
.....which everybody loves
.....everybody loves
HAHAHAHAHAHA
---
Closet child
Inside an illumination of the depths of a suit chest
Girls without hair lighted up
Offerring a black leather organizer to me
I somehow want to run and escape
I am frightened and I shined.
You are very important to me.
You took my hat and laughed for it is too short
I am awfully, awfully sad.
The scenery is always veiled, and it has spread out.
From the depths of my ear, there’s always the sound of a bell
Its sound has become natural.
The dusty film projector makes a sounds
The same scene which everybody likes
I continued to shine.
From the depths of my ear, there’s always the sound of a bell
The sound has become natural
And I went to see, and everything is all out of order.
The dusty film projector makes a sound
The same scene which everybody likes
It repeats itself.
The dusty film projector makes a sound
Oh the same scene which everybody likes
It repeats itself.
Which everybody loves
Which everybody loves.
Hahahahahaha
5. SNOWFLOWER
Shivering under the heavens like a curled up cat
Amidst the freezing air I'm running away
It's like the time when I was released from
The fear like murky water, released from the blurry dreams
(I'm contradictory, at the moment)
I step into brown shoes and out to the winter's night
Humming a cheerful song, walking
Amid the snow, round and round I spin, dancing
And when the impulse to lie down strikes,
I'll eat the flowers that bloom in the snow, and simply fall asleep
As I eat the flowers that bloom in the snow, I simply want to sleep
Your frostbitten hand is lovely and cool
(Stay by my side like this forever)
I'm not the same as I was yesterday; in my hands, yours melts
Melts away into lukewarm water
If the snow would only
Continue to fall a little longer colour will soon...
Look
If the snow would only
Continue to fall a little longer colour will soon be...
Look
Turned colourless
6. Hide and seek # 1
If a twisted hyacinth were to bloom
Would you realise that you've lost your song?
7. Trance orange
sunday morning
all alone
i set out to search
in a world drawn out of
the picture book i read
the day before yesterday
outside is whitening
it'll illuminate me someday
soon i really must go,
i get on a bus with its paint peeling off
with an unnatural grin on my face
and on the wall to my right side
those four words i hate are
joggling
look,
outside is whitening
it'll illuminate me someday
soon i really must go,
"farewell."
from atop a building, i
threw away all the shredded photographs
acting silly and waving my hand
enclosed in orange-colour, i mutter
outside is whitening
it'll illuminate me someday
soon i really must go,
"farewell."
from atop a building, i
threw away all the shredded photographs
acting silly and waving my hand
enclosed in orange-colour, i muttered
as if it was all along a lie
my place in this world
is gone
and, hated by everyone
forever and ever
i'll mutter in my orange-coloured world
TRANCE ORANGE
On Sunday morning Alone
I went out and searched
In a world taken decidedly from
The picture book I read the day before yesterday
The outside turns to white
At some point, it starts to shine on me
Soon I really must go,
I get on a bus with its paint peeling off
I am all effeminate and unnatural
On the right-hand wall, four words
That I hate, waver, look,
The outside turns to white
At some point, it starts to shine on me
Soon I really must go,
"Good bye."
Atop a building, I
Scatter torn photographs
Playing stupid, I wave my hand
And mutter in the orange*
The outside turns to white
At some point, it starts to shine on me
Soon I really must go,
"Good bye."
Atop a building, I
Scatter torn photographs
Playing stupid, I waved my hand
And muttered in the orange
My place in this world
Has gone, as if it never existed
Hated by everyone,
I will always, forever more
Mutter in this orange world
8. Mahiru no tsuki
Everybody shimmers
For they all seem like lies, and it puts me on edge
I hate the overly deep, blue sky of July
Drenched after the rain
Forgotten, in a narrow street
Is a thin, clear vinyl umbrella
Like myself, in the wind
It blew away
Perpetually repeating
The feeble song of a
Cicada is driving me crazy
I can't stand it
Appearing at midday, the long, slender
Point of the crescent moon
Like a needle, quietly, gently
Pricks me
My chest begins to hurt
Because I'm unable to breathe
Deprived of oxygen,
Crying, I gasp
My chest begins to hurt
Because I'm unable to breathe
Deprived of oxygen,
Crying, I gasp and gasp
Goldfish swimming in a fish tank
Were upside down before
They float up
Sink down
Almost as if imitating me?
Appearing at midday, the long, slender
Point of the crescent moon
Like a needle, quietly, gently
Pricks me
My chest begins to hurt
Because I'm unable to breathe
Deprived of oxygen,
Crying, I gasp
My chest begins to hurt
Because I'm unable to breathe
Deprived of oxygen,
Crying I gasped
And closed my eyes
9. Suisou
Spider webs entangled
The sad-faced clown will again,
As the night grows deeper,
Emerge from under my bed
Shut up in the attic
That child is surely me
Inverted hanging
Twisted suspended
It's bizarre and I feel sick
The insides of my eyes are flashing
A hideous noise above my head
Yet still, as always, suspended
I merely gazed out Someone spins in the moonlight
Concealed in shadow, their face cannot be seen
(cannot be seen, yet surely...)
As I sleep the self of my memories
Sinks down to the bottom of the sea
As I sleep the self of my memories
Sinks down to the bottom of the sea
Wavering down to the deep, dark
Bottom of the sea, I sink
"Beneath the moonlight,
Who is it that spins?
Beneath the moonlight ——————."
10. Nejimaki neurose
From far away I hear a lullaby I open my eyes
For some reason my finger tips are freezing cold
A torn stuffed toy suddenly opens its mouth
"I'll tell you about your REAL self," it says
White flowers
Where do they bloom?
They bloom in filthy hands
In my mouth I melt half-eaten chocolate
I'm simply waiting for this bizarre ceremony to end
Its stuffing is spilling out, yet still this toy keeps on talking and talking
That voice of yours which I hate It's like a crazed violin
What did you ever give me?
What did you ever give me?
What did you ever give me?
What did you ever give me?
WHAT?!
